L’acte, dirigit pel professor de Dret de la Universitat de Barcelona Georgios Milios, tindrà lloc el 4 d’octubre de 2017 a les 16:15 hores (CET).
El 4 d’octubre de 2017, a les 16:15 hores (CET), el projecte inHERE organitzarà el seu primer webinar, titulat “Introducció a conceptes útils per a projectes amb població refugiada”.
El projecte inHERE se centra en proporcionar oportunitats perquè les persones refugiades puguin participar a l’Espai Europeu d’Educació Superior. Per fer-ho, inHERE reforça l’intercanvi de coneixements, la col·laboració entre iguals i l’associació acadèmica en un intent de facilitar l’accés i la integració de les persones refugiades a les institucions europees d’educació superior (HEI).
Els webinars s’emmarquen dins de la segona part del projecte, el Living Lab, que lidera la Universitat de Barcelona. El seu objectiu és compartir, intercanviar, avaluar, crear comunament… iniciatives, projectes i activitats desenvolupades per les comunitats universitàries per promoure la integració dels estudiants refugiats a l’HEI.
Concretament, el propòsit del primer webinar és aclarir algunes idees sobre conceptes legals i socials com ara persona refugiada, sol·licitant d’asil, migrant, situació de refugiat, asil, protecció subsidiària i la seva implementació. L’adequada comprensió d’aquests conceptes és essencial per treballar amb aquest grup de persones i per gestionar les implicacions de projectes i activitats. El conferenciant del webinar serà el Dr. Georgios Milios, professor de la Facultat de Dret de la Universitat de Barcelona.
L’esdeveniment gratuït, que es realitzarà en anglès, s’adreça a membres de comunitats universitàries (professorat, personal d’administració i serveis [PAS], personal tècnic…) que executen o tenen previst executar projectes o activitats per facilitar l’accés de les persones refugiades a l’HEI, la seva integració social…, així com a tots els públics de la Universitat interessats en aquestes iniciatives.

The inHERE project organizes a webinar on useful concepts for university projects with refugee population
The event, led by Georgios Milios, lecturer of Law at the University of Barcelona, will take place on Wednesday October 4, at 4:15 p.m.
On Wednesday, October 4 at 4:15 p.m., the inHERE project (Higher Education Supporting Refugees in Europe) will organize its first webinar, titled “Introduction to useful concepts for projects with refugee population”.
The main aim of inHERE project is to create opportunities for the refugees to take part in the European Higher Education Area. In order to do so, inHERE strengthens knowledge exchange, peer-support and academic partnership to ease the access and integration to European Higher Education Institutions (HEI) for the refugees.
Webinars are framed within the second series of the project, Living Lab, which is led by the University of Barcelona. Their purpose is to share, exchange, assess and jointly create initiatives, projects and activities for University communities to promote the integration of refugee students in HEI.
Specifically, the aim of the first webinar is to clarify some of the ideas related to legal and social concepts such as refugee, asylum seeker, migrant, refugee-like situation, asylum, subsidiary protection and its implementation. The proper understanding of these concepts is essential to work with refugee people and manage the implications of projects and activities. The webinar speaker will be Dr. Georgios Milios, professor at the Faculty of Law of the University of Barcelona.
The free event, which will be given in English, is aimed at members of University communities (teaching staff or PDI, administration and service staff or PAS, students…) who are carrying out or want to carry out any project or activity in order to ease the access of refugees to HEI, their social integration…, as well as to those in the University communities who are interested in these initiatives.
