Voluntariat UB
Voluntariat UB is an initiative of the University of Barcelona that encourages the participation and collaboration of the university community in non-profit entities with the aim of promoting a university that is more supportive and committed to society. The UB Solidarity Foundation has managed this programme since the 2018-2019 academic year, and has launched its own volunteers in collaboration with committed training and research initiatives from different faculties, such as the right to Law (Faculty of Law) and the mentoring of the Social Policy and Access to University (PSAU) programme (Faculty of Education).

Program of natural solutions for a sustainable development
As a result of a long experience in the social and labour market inclusion of people at risk of exclusion through social agriculture, the UB Solidarity Foundation is now one of the partners of the research project EdiCitNet – Edible Cities Network (2018-2023): an initiative with 35 partners in 13 cities around the world that seeks the implementation and evaluation of nature-based solutions for the transition to sustainable and socially resilient food producing cities.

Prometeus Project
This project aims to gradually increase the number of young people from the Raval district (Barcelona) who start and complete university studies, in order to transform the trend of the neighbourhood. Prometeus is an initiative carried out by the Asociación Educativa Integral del Raval and El Periódico El Raval, together with the two public institutes of the neighbourhood. The project’s monitoring committee includes the Ciutat Vella District, the Barcelona Education Consortium and the Barcelona Municipal Institute of Education; and the UB, UAB, UPF and UPC universities, which also participate in the leading group. The project has been awarded the Premi Barcelona Innovació Educativa 2018 for initiatives that contribute to promoting educational opportunities and social inclusion.
