En el Dia Mundial de les Persones Refugiades, amb l’etiqueta #UBRefugi2025, Solidaritat UB comparteix reflexions d’estudiants del Programa de suport de la UB, de què tu pots ser mecenes.

DONA A ‘UNIVERSITAT REFUGI’

Actualment, hi ha més de 123,2 milions de persones desplaçades a la força arreu del món. L’accés d’aquestes persones a l’educació és un dret, i contribueix a facilitar-ne la inclusió social i econòmica, així com a crear societats culturalment més riques i cohesionades. Però només un 7 % de les persones en situació de refugi pot estudiar a la universitat.

Promoure l’accés a l’educació superior és avançar cap al compliment dels Objectius de Desenvolupament Sostenible de l’Agenda 2030 i és necessari per evitar l’aparició de “generacions perdudes”.

La Universitat de Barcelona, en el marc de les seves accions de responsabilitat social, igualtat i cooperació, contribueix a aquest objectiu des de l’any 2015, mitjançant el Programa de suport a persones refugiades i provinents de zones en conflicte. La iniciativa inclou un Curs de transició a la universitat, cofinançat per l’Ajuntament de Barcelona, que en cada edició rep al voltant de 15 estudiants en situació de refugi residents fora de la Unió Europea. Més enllà d’una beca per estudiar, el programa proporciona a aquestes persones un suport integral en la línia de les anomenades vies segures complementàries al reassentament en tercers països.

El 20 de juny, Dia Mundial de les Persones Refugiades, la Universitat de Barcelona reafirma el compromís amb elles i, des de la Fundació Solidaritat UB, compartim per xarxes socials reflexions d’estudiants del Curs de transició a la universitat, que s’acompanyen d’imatges d’activitats del programa i fotografies cedides per l’alumnat. Amb l’etiqueta #UBRefugi2025, aquestes reflexions se sumen a la campanya global d’ACNUR, que enguany se centra a expressar solidaritat ver les persones refugiades, homenatjar-ne les històries i mostrar-los suport incondicional sota el lema “Solidaritat amb els refugiats“.

A través de la campanya Universitat Refugi: Vies segures d’acollida per a estudiants refugiats de Mecenes UB, tu pots contribuir a les beques del Programa, per a que joves de Palestina, l’Afganistan, la República Democràtica del Congo, Síria o Ucraïna, entre altres països, puguin accedir a la universitat; i aquí hi trobin un espai segur i inclusiu on reprendre formació i vida.

On World Refugee Day, with the hashtag #UBRefugi2025, we share thoughts of students from the Refugee Support Program, of which you can be a patron.

DONATE TO ‘REFUGE UNIVERSITY’

There are currently more than 123,2 million forcibly displaced people worldwide. These people’s access to education is a right, and it contributes to their social and economic inclusion, as well as to create culturally richer and more cohesive societies. But only 7% of people in a refugee situation can study at the university.

Promoting access to higher education is advancing towards the fulfillment of the Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda and it is necessary to avoid the emergence of “lost generations”.

The University of Barcelona, within its actions of social responsibility, equality and cooperation, has been contributing to this goal since 2015, through its Support program for refugees and people from conflict areas. The initiative includes a Transition course to university, co-financed by the Barcelona City Council, which every edition has welcomed around 15 students in a refugee situation residing outside the European Union. Apart from a study grant, the program provides these people with a comprehensive support in line with the so-called complementary pathways for admision to third countries.

On June 20, World Refugee Day, the University of Barcelona reaffirms its commitment to them and, from the UB Solidarity Foundation, we share on social networks thoughts of students of the Transition course to university, which are accompanied by images of program activities and photographs provided by the students. With the hashtag #UBRefugi2025, these thoughts are added to UNHCR’s global campaign, which this year focuses on expressing solidarity with refugees, honoring their stories and showing them unconditional support under the slogan “Solidarity with Refugees“.

Have you already collaborated with the UB Support Program for Refugee?

Through the microcenage campaign Refuge University: Safe ways to support refugee students, launched by UB Sponsors, you can contribute to the scholarships of the Program, so that young people from Palestine, Afghanistan, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Syria or Ukraine, among other countries, can access the university, and find here a safe and inclusive space where they can resume training and life.
